How can I prevent and prepare for emergencies or crisis situations?

Please note: if you work as an independent live-in careworker, you assume full legal responsibility for your client's health and well-being! If you perform care activities incorrectly and endanger the life of the person to be cared for, you may suffer penalties under the law!

Live-in careworkers must:

• take measures to prevent accidents in the provision of household-related services
• take into account the restrictions applicable to the person being cared for when preparing meals
• take into account the physical mobility of the person being cared for

Don't forget: Since live-in careworkers work with elderly and, in most cases, seriously ill people, a specialized course in personal support / home care is strongly recommended.
